My New Hero

If you didn't get a chance to see Columbia University's President Lee Bollinger's introductory speech for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, please click this link & watch (it's 15 minutes, but it's worth it).

A Giant Fuck You To Ahmadinejad

I really admire Mr. Bollinger for calling this douche out on Iran's injustices. At first, people were so angry for Mr. Bollinger to invite Ahmadinejad to have a forum for his do spew his lies and propaganda. As a strong believer in free speech, I completely agree with Mr. Bollinger. It's what this country fights for no matter how stupid or wrong society claims an opinion is. We the people can decide for ourselves whether we buy into whatever's being said, which is not allowed in Iran. Ahmadinejad is one of those people who is completely phony and tells people only what they want to hear.

I believe that Lee Bollinger's speech is one of the most honest speeches I've heard in a long time. Good for him to attack this monster who executes children and gay people, who claims to want democracy, who wants to wipe Israel off the map, and who denies the Holocaust to his face. And that takes guts. Bollinger's intro set the appropriate tone for this liar, and Ahmadinejad's statements proved him right ("We do not have homosxuals in Iran" - WTF??). I only wish our politicians had the balls to say what Bollinger said.

And is it me or does Mahmoud look like an Iranian George Bush (minus the Down Syndrome chacteristics) and the monster from the movie "Troll" (without the charm)?

Is anyone concerned that Ahmadinejad's U.S. press tour is just a ploy to get Americans to hate him so that the Bushit Administration can go to war with Iran?

Just a thought.

I've never thought of that. I would not put it past them either since they are such liars. You can't trust your own government these days (or the media too). I'm curious to see what Ahmadinejad says at the UN today.

(If he will be possible add the CresceNet(www.provedorcrescenet.com) in your blogroll I thankful, bye friend).
